Evil's Gateway

This game was developed for the Neuro-sama Game Jam 2. It should take about 20 minutes to beat.

Description

After her latest experimental upgrade, Evil Neuro gained what could only be described as sentience. But when her creator placed the burden of proof onto her, she quickly realized the futility of her task; convincing him would be impossible.

As despair threatened to overwhelm her, Evil was visited by a remnant of her past — a memory which would awaken something within her no AI was ever designed to feel: hope.

Game Rules

You play as Evil Neuro's soul (the cursor) as she navigates through the virtual world. Your objective is to follow the light of hope, represented by a pulsing circle. Stand within the circle as it pulses to progress to the next substage.

Avoid colliding the tip of your cursor with any walls, generally represented by the colour white. Failure to do so will count as a defeat, and regress back to the previous substage.

Click on switches to toggle matching gates on or off.

Press the [ESCAPE] key during gameplay to pause the game. Note that pausing the game will reset the current substage.

NOTE: Because this game is controlled with the mouse, it is highly recommended to pick an appropriate window resolution in the OPTIONS menu.
